Local Lambs, Born on the Farm
Our baby lambs are born right here in Lexington, Massachusetts, on the same land where we grow our vegetables and raise our beef cattle and chickens. They are not transported from another state or country.
We are a heritage breed, slow-growing operation. Our lambs are never fed grains, given antibiotics, or treated with hormones. They grow on pasture, at a natural pace, the way it has always been done.
Meadow Mist Farm goes beyond standard organic. We use no synthetic pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, or conventional fertilizers on our land. What your animal eats and where it lives is as clean as we can make it.

What Makes Meadow Mist Farm Different
Most lambs sold in the United States come from large operations in New Zealand or Australia, or from farms that use grain finishing, antibiotics, and hormones to speed growth. Ours do not.
Meadow Mist Farm is one of the closest working livestock farms to Boston. We are a real, small, family-run operation — not an agritourism destination. When you call us, you talk to the people who raise the animals. We are happy to walk you through everything and answer any questions about what it takes to care for a lamb on your property.
