In reining, what is the difference between futurity and cinch?

I’m trying to figure out which day to go see the quarter horse congress and the events available on the days I can go are either futurity reining or cinch reining. I’m a hunt seat girl – I don’t know wtf futurity vs cinch means I DO know what reining is, so I don’t need to know that. Can anyone explain? Which one would have the more advanced and hence more fun to watch horses?

A reining futurity is a competition with young horses either in their very first show or their first year of showing. I’ve never actually heard of cinch reining but from what I’ve been reading, I think it may be another type of futurity. Everything I have looked at relates the word “cinch” and “non-pro” together. So I think maybe the cinch reining may be for the more inexperienced reining riders.

I’m not exactly sure, but I do know that the futurities are for young horse within their first show year that don’t have too much experience in the show ring.
